In this key role, you will support the IT Procurement team and wider business by processing and analysing IT supplier invoices, processing payments, raising queries and disputes with suppliers, and developing reports to support financial business decisions with data-backed analytics.
You will be the first point of contact for the business for all IT telecoms billing queries, liaising with IT teams and the wider group to help identify cost-saving opportunities through analysis of the invoices and the asset database.
What you'll do
In this exciting role, you will:
- interrogate IT Telecoms invoices, identifying discrepancies and raising issues and disputes with suppliers
- process bills using our in-house software, identify issues and raise them with the correct department
- be the first point of contact for the business and senior managers for all telecoms billing enquiries
- liaise with the finance department regarding billing issues and process improvements
- create and maintain reports on ongoing and future spends
- assist with maintaining and updating the asset management database to ensure assets are assigned correctly
- review annual spending and produce ad hoc reports to assist the business
- carry out CMDB maintenance and asset creation
- maintain and create end-to-end process guides.
What you'll need
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- excellent O365 skills, particularly Excel
- strong organisational skills and a keen attention to detail
- the ability to work well to tight deadlines
- the ability to plan your month around key dates
- excellent communication skills at all levels
- the ability to review large data sets and present them in an easily digestible format
- an analytical and curious mindset
- the ability to use your own initiative and be self-motivated
- at least three years of experience in a billing, accounts payable or data analytics role or similar
- an understanding of ticket management and asset management (advantageous)
- knowledge of IT service management best practices, such as ITILv3 or 4 (desirable)
- the ability and willingness to learn and understand new systems quickly
- the ability and willingness to adapt to the changing needs of end users
- the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external contacts.
