We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, motivated and proactive Civils Site Engineer to join YTL Construction UK.
Based across projects within the Wessex Water region, covering Bristol, Salisbury, Bournemouth, Bridgwater and surrounding areas, you'll play a key role in delivering a variety of civil engineering and infrastructure schemes.
We aim to keep travel times below 90 minutes each way, with many of our team travelling an hour or less.

What you'll do
As a Civils Site Engineer, you will be responsible for the technical delivery and day-to-day engineering support of civil engineering projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- setting out works and providing accurate line and level control
- ensuring construction activities are delivered in accordance with design specifications, drawings and project requirements
- supporting the site management team with planning, coordination and delivery of works
- monitoring quality standards and ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry regulations
- promoting and maintaining a strong safety-first culture across all site activities
- assisting with risk management, method statements and safe systems of work
- liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and project stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery
- producing and maintaining accurate site records, surveys and quality documentation
- capturing and managing as-built information to support project handover and asset records
- raising and managing Requests for Information (RFIs) and working closely with designers to resolve technical queries and design discrepancies
- supporting the successful delivery of project objectives through effective communication, collaboration and problem-solving.
What you'll need
- Experience working as a Site Engineer within civil engineering, utilities or infrastructure projects.
- Strong knowledge of setting out techniques and surveying equipment.
- Experience with above and below-ground structures, pipelines and associated civil works.
- CSCS Card.
- SSSTS or SMSTS certification.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary project team.
- Previous experience within the water or wastewater industry.
- Temporary Works Supervisor qualification.
- First Aid at Work certification.
- Working at Height training.
- Manual Handling training.
- Experience using AutoCAD, GPS and total station equipment.
