What placements do we offer?

The type of industrial placements we offer vary each year. We tend to advertise a range of roles across the following areas: 

  • mechanical
  • electrical
  • science
  • environment.

We aim to provide the support and guidance to ensure an industrial placement with us is rewarding for both you and us.

What do you need?

To apply for an industrial placement with us, you will need to:

  • be studying a subject that connects with our industry
  • have an interest in the water industry
  • have a flexible and innovative approach
  • be dedicated and determined with the desire to learn
  • have strong academic results or relevant experience.

Depending on your placement programme and the commitment and competence you demonstrate during the year, there may be a future for you at Wessex Water.

Following successful placements, we have offered students:

  • part-time paid work during their final year of university
  • a degree apprenticeship
  • full-time employment
  • chartership support and guidance.
