Are you a positive individual with excellent organisational, time management and numerical skills? Do you love making sense of numbers, looking for trends and spotting errors or anomalies? If so, we have a great opportunity for you as a Data Processor.

What you'll do

You will join a small team responsible for collating, reviewing, cleaning, interpreting, and distributing data from approximately 1,000 sewer asset surveys across our wastewater network. You will also analyse additional data sources as required. This is a growing area of high interest, importance, and scrutiny.

Your core work will involve processing a range of survey data requested by departments across the business. This information helps us respond quickly and effectively to issues in the wastewater network, make informed decisions about asset maintenance, and continually improve how the network operates. You will also support the publication of this data for customers and stakeholders.

As part of the team, you will help prepare data for presentations, reports, and responses to both routine and ad hoc queries from a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

You should be comfortable working independently to interpret data and supporting the team in meeting the needs of regulators, customers, and stakeholders.

What you'll need

To succeed in this role, you will be good at working with numbers and analysing, with good communication, geographical skills and teamworking skills.

You will also have good attention to detail, a basic understanding of data structure, data extensions, data formats and competent using Microsoft Office software, especially Excel. Due to improvements in the future, you would need to be willing to learn basic VBA.

While it is desirable for you to have knowledge of wastewater networks, this is not essential.

Most of all, you will need to be someone who is willing to work both independently and as part of a team.

You will be adaptable and have the ability to stay on top of new features and the willingness to keep up to date with market trends and new features that may be beneficial for our business.

What you'll receive

  • A combined pension contribution of up to 20%.
  • Career progression and professional development opportunities.
  • 25 days' holiday rising to 28 with length of service.
  • The opportunity to sell up to five days of holiday every year.
