Are you passionate about creating high quality multi-media content including video, audio and photography? Do you have the ambition, experience and drive to develop our in-house studio and lead a team to deliver engaging solutions? If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for you to apply for the role of Digital Delivery Studio Manager.
This position is offered on an 18-month fixed-term contract, working 24 hours per week. Salary will be paid on a pro-rata basis, reflecting the part-time hours.
What you'll do
Based at our operations centre in Bath you will provide strategic and operational leadership for an in-house multi-media studio supporting a group of companies in various sectors including development and construction, retail and entertainment, utilities and customer services.
As Digital Delivery Studio Manager you will be responsible for the delivery of high-quality, broadcast-grade multi-media content across external and internal communications, executive messaging, campaigns, live events, marketing, and digital platforms including social media.
Reporting to the Head of Digital within the Communications and Community Directorate, this hands-on role will also be responsible for ensuring the studio is run effectively and efficiently and meets all the necessary governance, compliance, quality and technical standards required.
You will lead a small, multi-disciplinary team across all production stages, overseeing complex, high-value projects in a compliance-critical environment.
You will be responsible for:
- leading the day-to-day operation of the corporate studio, ensuring consistent, high-quality, regulation-ready output
- all stages of production and delivery of live and recorded content across multiple platforms
- establishing, maintaining, and ensuring studio-wide policies covering all stages of production, distribution, archiving, procurement, and information security
- translating business, communication, and regulatory objectives into robust, well-governed production plans suitable for internal and external audiences
- scoping and resourcing projects to ensure delivery to broadcast-grade standards within agreed timelines and budgets
- audiovisual compliance across all studio outputs
- managing the technical architecture of the studio and live-event environments, including video, audio, lighting, streaming, IT, storage, and network systems
- providing credible leadership and technical direction to enable teams to perform effectively within clearly defined frameworks
- managing supplier relationships
- driving continuous improvement in quality, efficiency, resilience, and compliance
- monitoring industry developments, emerging technologies (including AI and ML), and evolving standards.
What you'll need
We are looking for:
- degree-level education or equivalent professional experience in film, photography, media or a related discipline
- significant senior level experience leading multi-media teams or complex media operations
- proven background working across all stages of production and distribution teams, aligning creative, technical, and operational delivery across the full media lifecycle
- strategic experience evaluating, deploying, and governing AI- and ML-enabled tools within post-production and media operations, ensuring efficiency gains are balanced with quality compliance, and operational risk
- expert knowledge of broadcast compliance, technical QC, metadata standards, and mastering requirements
- advanced understanding of post-production workflows, including editorial, graphics/VFX, colour management, and audio finishing
- strong knowledge of camera systems, formats, codecs, and RAW, log-based, and HDR workflows
- demonstrated expertise in GDPR-compliant, ISO-aligned media workflows and secure data management
- extensive experience writing and enforcing best-practice documentation within large organisations
- to be a confident and effective communicator, able to translate complex requirements and technical information to create engaging content for all audiences
- to be reflective and analytical in approach, with the ability to absorb complexity and respond decisively
- to be steady and assured under pressure with exceptional attention to detail.
What you'll receive
- A combined pension contribution of up to 20%.
- Career progression and professional development opportunities.
- 25 days' holiday rising to 28 with length of service.
