Head of Commercial Finance

YTL UK is seeking an experienced Head of Commercial Finance to play a key role in our continued growth within the Land and Property Group.

This newly created role will work closely with senior stakeholders across the group, supporting the growth of the development and construction businesses through financing, structuring, insurance and eventually asset divestment.

What you'll do

You'll support the FD, working alongside the Head of Finance, driving financial performance across our construction and real estate development portfolio, ensuring robust financial planning, insightful analysis and effective business partnering.

You'll also:

• develop the FP&A team, focusing on the delivery of a suite of quality management information to enable the board to make informed decisions. 
• have responsibility for financial feasibility modelling, appraisal and scenario analysis 
• provide insight and reporting on project cost, margin and cash flow performance across construction projects, working closely with the Commercial Department
• lead budgeting & forecasting reporting across all development activities 
• partner with development, construction and sales and asset management to provide commercially focused insight 
• play a key role in all external financing transactions, from sourcing and execution through to ongoing reporting 
• support the Finance Director with organic growth initiatives and acquisitive opportunities 
• provide financial support for the structuring and operation of new property assets 
• support the Finance Director on asset divestments 
• own all insurance matters across the Group.

What you'll need

You'll bring strong commercial acumen and demonstrate leadership and team development capabilities, with a proven approach to strategic financial planning, underpinned by effective risk management and confident stakeholder engagement.

You'll have:

• a recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) 
• senior experience in a commercially focused finance role 
• a strong background in real estate, construction or infrastructure 
• proven ability to lead teams and influence cross-functional stakeholders 
• experience with complex Excel-based and/or other financial modelling 
• excellent communication, analytical and strategic thinking skills.
