As a further step in our growth, we are developing our Design team, and this is a great opportunity to join our growing professional team.
What you'll do
As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will lead and drive design activities for a number of high-value, complex sewerage infrastructure projects. Your in-depth experience will enable you to work effectively alongside our contracting partners to produce innovative, compliant and cost-effective design solutions.
Day to day, you will be part of a team of infrastructure design professionals, working closely with other engineering disciplines and support services to meet the quality, financial and programme requirements for the Project Delivery team.
A key part of your role will be to produce the options, outline and detailed design deliverables associated with gravity and pressurised sewerage systems to resolve hydraulic deficiencies in our network and improve the environment, including technical and commercial reports, calculations, technical specifications and engineering drawings in line with company and industry technical standards.
You will also assist in the design governance procedure, including checking documentation and drawings. Alongside your technical activities, you will be proactive in mentoring and supporting the technical development of team members to ensure the continuity of team skills.
What you'll need
To do all of this, you'll be a qualified Civil Engineer who is chartered by a recognised professional body.
You will have extensive experience in sewerage network design, a thorough understanding of CDM 2015 and Sewers for Adoption, and sewer rehabilitation and UID/CSO design experience.
In addition, you'll have good IT skills and practical experience in InfoWorks CS/ICM and GIS systems.
What you'll receive
- Total pension contributions up to 20%.
- Career progression and professional development opportunities.
- 25 days' holiday rising to 28 with length of service.
- The opportunity to buy up to ten days' holiday and sell up to five every year.

- A new electric car in exchange for part of your gross salary, subject to conditions.

- One paid volunteering day each year.
- Enhanced family leave and pay arrangements.
- An interactive health and wellbeing platform.
- Support from mental health first aiders.
- A £1,000 referral fee if you recommend someone to work for us.
Who we are

YTL has been active in the UK for over 20 years with ownership of Wessex Water, waste to energy, retail and commercial projects and a number of hotels.
YTL Construction UK will be responsible for the construction of a new entertainment complex at the iconic Brabazon hangars, north of Bristol, including exhibition and conferencing space.
The site is also the location for the Brabazon new town with hotels, schools, commercial developments and planning permission for 6,500 housing units. Over time, the new company will also develop wider construction projects, particularly focused on key infrastructure.
With the rapid development of the Brabazon Estate at Filton Bristol, this is an excellent opportunity to join what will, in a few years, become one of the major companies in the UK construction industry.
