Are you an enthusiastic Supply Modeller looking to further develop your experience and career in supply modelling at a senior level? If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join our ever growing and dynamic team which is expanding as a result of an increasing workload.

What you'll do

Based at our award-winning operations centre in Bath, you will be part of our team of Supply Modelling specialists within our Engineering and Sustainable Delivery department.

You will be involved in all aspects of supply modelling including building new models and using existing models for appraising the supply to new development proposals, plus optioneering and outlining the design of challenging and exciting capital schemes.

Working collaboratively with other departments throughout the business, you'll also identify where we can improve on leakage reduction, pressure controls and system optimisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • building and verifying supply models using INFOWORKS Pro
  • developing outline solutions for hydraulic studies
  • report writing, project presentation and project management
  • analysing data using Excel and Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
  • project management of consultant led studies
  • mentoring junior staff entering the discipline.

Your role has the potential to develop to become a Principal Modeller after a suitable period, subject to performance and aptitude.

What you'll need

You'll be a Supply Modeller with relevant experience in supply modelling, ideally using Infoworks Pro.

In additional you will have:

  • a degree in a scientific/mathematical subject (graduates in engineering preferred)
  • chartered status or be working towards membership to an appropriate professional institution (eg, CIWEM or ICE)
  • excellent IT skills and knowledge of associated software (Excel, GIS, Telemetry, loggers and associated systems)
  • sound report writing and the ability to communicate complex issues to appropriate team members and stakeholders, including presentations
  • team working skills and the ability to contribute positively to the development of supply modelling within the team and the wider business.
