We are looking for an experienced leader to work 15 hours per week across Monday and Wednesday each week, supporting, motivating and inspiring our Taunton based meter reading team.   

What you'll do

You will work alongside the existing Team Leader in a job share arrangement in managing a hardworking and friendly field-based team of up to 12 meter readers working predominantly within the Taunton area. Your main base will be our Galmington depot in Taunton. Your team are responsible for obtaining and verifying water meter readings for our Bristol Water and Wessex Water customers as well as commercial water retailers.

A strong customer focus is essential to ensure that we ‘WOW' our clients and customers alike. With great attention to detail and meticulous planning, you will ensure your team are engaged, developed and supported to achieve their productivity expectations and deliver for our customers.

Leading a team of meter readers working in a variety of locations, excellent personal and communication skills are essential. We are looking for someone who has an eye for detail and a true passion to refine processes and gain efficiencies to improve service levels for our customers. You will also thrive on bringing fresh ideas and different perspectives to the table. 

We work towards a clear set of targets, and you will support your team to achieve them. Experience working within a target-driven environment and a track record of excellent organisational skills are essential, as is demonstrable experience in performance management and coaching.

If you can bring the above, we'll ensure you are supported throughout your career with enrolment on our in-house management development program and regular coaching.

A knowledge of the Taunton area would also be beneficial.
