YTL Live is the operating company behind some of the UK's most exciting upcoming entertainment destinations, including the 20,000-capacity Aviva Arena, the historic Spitfire Hangar and the YTL Live Entertainment District at Brabazon.
Opening early 2029, Aviva Arena will be at the heart of a 365-day entertainment district. Technology is integral to opening the venue safely and successfully, delivering outstanding customer and event experiences and enabling the commercial ambitions of YTL Live.
You will lead the integrated delivery of the YTL Live technology programme, ensuring infrastructure, digital systems, data and venue technologies are procured, designed, installed, integrated, tested, commissioned and handed into operation to agreed time, cost, quality, security and readiness outcomes.
The Technology Delivery Programme Manager will act as the Technology Director's principal delivery lead, translating the technology strategy and architecture into an executable programme and coordinating internal leads, construction and venue stakeholders, delivery partners and suppliers through to opening and stabilisation.
What you'll do
- Lead the end-to-end technology delivery programme, developing and managing integrated plans, milestones, budgets, resources and dependencies to ensure successful delivery against venue opening and operational timelines.
- Coordinate complex technology projects and stakeholder relationships, working closely with internal teams, construction partners, suppliers and business stakeholders to ensure technology delivery is aligned with wider organisational objectives.
- Manage supplier performance and commercial delivery, overseeing procurement activities, monitoring delivery against contractual commitments and ensuring successful collaboration across multiple technology partners.
- Drive testing, commissioning and operational readiness, ensuring technology solutions are thoroughly tested, integrated and proven to support live venue operations, customer experience and business-critical services.
- Maintain effective governance, risk and assurance processes, providing clear reporting, managing programme risks and dependencies, and ensuring compliance with technology, security and organisational standards.
- Provide leadership and communication across the programme, building strong stakeholder relationships, driving accountability and ensuring progress, decisions and risks are communicated effectively at all levels of the organisation.
What you'll need
You will:
- extensive experience leading large, complex technology programmes involving multiple suppliers, workstreams and business functions, with a demonstrable record of delivery to time, cost and quality
- experience of technology delivery in a major venue, live entertainment, sport, hospitality, retail, transport, construction or another high-availability operational environment is strongly desirable
- experience taking technology through procurement, detailed design, installation, integration, testing, commissioning, operational readiness, handover and early-life support
- strong programme and project management discipline, including integrated planning, dependency management, financial control, governance, risk, change, benefits and executive reporting
- proven commercial and supplier-management capability, including contracted deliverables, milestone acceptance, change control, recovery planning and performance escalation
- sound understanding of infrastructure, networks, AV, venue technology, enterprise applications, digital platforms, data and integration, sufficient to coordinate specialist leads and challenge delivery evidence
- good understanding of cyber security, data protection, resilience, service transition, operational acceptance and supportability requirements
- ability to operate effectively in a complex matrix environment, influence senior stakeholders and align teams without relying solely on line authority
- excellent written and verbal communication, organisation, prioritisation, facilitation, negotiation and problem-solving skills
- relevant professional accreditation such as MSP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, APM PMQ/PPQ, PMI PgMP/PMP or equivalent practical experience.
