Do you have an interest in the environment and want to help protect it? Do you have experience in wastewater operations or compliance that you could use to help support the business in delivering our environmental obligations? If so, this role could be perfect for you.

We're looking for an enthusiastic Wastewater Regulation Scientist to join our team, who will look to specialise in compliance assessment and reporting to the Environment Agency.

What you'll do

  • reviewing data for compliance trends to support the business and ensure compliance with environmental permits
  • completing technical wastewater reports
  • assisting with regulatory work as necessary within the wastewater regulation team.

What you'll need

This role is data-focused, however effective communication is key to this role, both within the team, the wider business and externally, to enable efficient workload management, promote the learning and sharing of information, and ensure team priorities are met.

To be successful in this role and to effectively deliver our regulatory reporting, we are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:

  • good working knowledge of Microsoft software, such as Excel and Word

  • experience in managing large data sets data, including data analysis, processing and reporting
  • knowledge of wastewater treatment processes

Most of all, we are looking for a great team player who is also comfortable working on their own, as you will be responsible for the planning and prioritising of your own workload.

What you'll receive
