What you'll do
You will work alongside the Management Accountant for the Supply and Environment, Customer and Compliance areas of the business. Providing high quality information and assistance to all clients within these areas, enabling them to manage their business in an efficient and effective manner.
You'll also provide support on monitoring and reporting the financial performance, including assisting the Management Accountant with the annual financial budgets and quarterly forecasts for operational costs.
Your responsibilities will also include:
- assisting the Management Accountant in preparation of annual budgets
- ensuring a consistent approach across Wessex Water Group on policies and procedures
- accurate monthly accounts preparation
- provision of financial data for business reviews
- monthly meetings with business to monitor performance against budgets
- development of financial reporting with the rest of team
- liaising with external auditors
- assisting business unit managers in identifying areas of potential savings/development.
What you'll need
- Part qualified AAT.
- Previous experience working within Finance preferred.
- Confident and assertive manner.
- Positive and ‘can do' approach.
- Fast and accurate key board skills.
- A good understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Windows packages, particularly Excel.
- Sound interpersonal skills, including telephone and written communication skills.
- Experience working on Finance system Agresso Unit4 preferred but not essential.
