We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and confident Electrician to join us.

You'll work alongside a small electrical and mechanical site team to support the delivery of the new and innovative Smart Waters schemes across the Wessex Water region. 

The role will involve installing new water quality instrumentation and ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest standards of quality and safety.

What you'll do

You'll work closely with the on-site supervisor to help deliver the Smart Waters projects. 

You'll be travelling between multiple sites daily and working in remote locations, so to support you, we will provide a company van, along with the tools and training you need to do the job safely and effectively.

You'll be heavily involved in installing, testing and commissioning new water quality instruments and related equipment. 

You'll also be carrying out routine maintenance and calibrations on water quality monitors to ensure they continue to operate reliably.

What you'll need

Ideally, you'll will be a qualified electrician with a Level 3 qualification and hold an ECS Gold Card. 

You'll have strong knowledge of electrical installation practices for all types of water quality monitoring equipment, excellent problem‑solving skills and a high level of attention to detail. 

You'll also:

  • have an Electrical NVQ level 3
  • hold a full UK driving licence
  • be a holder of a Gold ECS Card 
  • be confident in reading and interpreting technical drawings and detailed specifications 
  • have strong problem-solving skills with a sharp eye for detail.
