Would you like to work across the Wessex Water region surveying, installing, and maintaining riverside water quality monitoring sites? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Smart Waters Team as an Environmental Technician.

  • produce drawings and technical reports to support the planning and permits required for the CWQM installations
  • use your knowledge and collected data to develop GIS data sets and build a picture of catchment water quality
  • assist with water quality surveys using our remote-controlled “surfboard” and interpreting the data to understand optimal monitor placement
  • use your investigation skills to help answer questions about the data being received by the CWQM sites
  • assist our operational and catchment teams in investigating potential pollutions
