Brabazon is a major 400-acre regeneration development project being delivered by YTL Developments on the former Filton Airfield.

This role is responsible for proactively executing the day to day operational activities on the YTL Estate, which includes the Airfield.

What you'll do

This position is a hands on, varied and practical role to assist the Estates team in executing all of our responsibilities as landowner and developer, efficiently, safely and securely. The Estates team are responsible for protecting and enhancing the value of the Estate by proactive maintenance and security; managing risk and costs and supporting revenue generating activities.

The tasks will include but are not limited to:

  • coordinating access to the airfield, managing deliveries and coordinating with the construction teams over movements
  • undertaking regular health and safety and security inspections on assets and recording observations and recommendations to ensure compliance
  • identifying and reporting any maintenance and repairs that are required, as well as recommending cost-effective solutions to resolve either in-house or by appointing third-party contractors
  • completing general maintenance on the estate
  • assisting in sourcing quotes and liaising with contractors to ensure works are carried out to a good quality and on programme, ensuring relevant documentation is obtained
  • assisting the Estates Manager in resolving any complaints or issues raised by neighbours and tenants.

What you'll need

  • An NVQ/City & Guilds qualification relating to subjects, such as construction, estate management or landscaping, is preferred.
  • A range of health and safety experiences is preferred, such as First Aid, Working at Heights, Manual Handling and Traffic Management.
  • Knowledge and practical experience handling the diverse range of issues associated with property and land maintenance.
  • Experience dealing with contractors, traffic management/deliveries and construction-related issues.
  • Good administration and IT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
  • A CSCS card is preferred.
  • The ability to maintain and safely operate equipment (in accordance with manufacturers' instructions) to carry out remedial works on the estate
  • Full clean driving license

This is a full-time site-based role located at the Site Operations Centre on the former Filton Airfield, but you will be required to drive to various locations around the Estate, including YTLD's HQ at Concorde House.
