Are you looking for a meaningful placement opportunity? Do you have a strong interest in real-life implementation of data science and data engineering? Are you a capable quick learner? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you. 

We are looking into ways to analyse water quality parameters and develop machine learning models that could predict water quality issues. We will then be able to alert the public about ongoing and potential issues.

This project builds on our current river and coastal water quality work, where new devices are providing us with new data that we can use to develop better models.

What you'll do

  • Develop a feature or a model using data science and data engineering services provided by the Microsoft Azure platform.
  • Create dashboards as the presentation layer, using tools, such as PowerBI and Azure Data Explorer.
  • Learn and follow professional development methodologies - you will benefit from the support of our team.

What you'll need

  • Knowledge of Machine Learning and AI.
  • Knowledge of Analytics and statistics. 
  • Hands-on coding experience.
  • Hands-on experience in data science and using data engineering tools, especially in Azure (beneficial). 
  • The ability to learn new technologies and implement them.
  • Strong logic and math skills.
