Are you an experienced Project Planner looking for your next challenge? Do you thrive in a fast‑paced environment and have a proven background working across a diverse portfolio of engineering projects?
Turnbull Utilities and Infrastructure is expanding, and we're looking for a talented Planner to join our growing team. You will play a key role in developing and maintaining accurate programmes to support our Project Managers in the successful delivery of major infrastructure schemes, including sewer networks, storm overflows, and water supply projects.
This is a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract
What you'll do
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across project delivery
- Developing, reviewing, and progressing multiple project programmes
- Leading programme discussions and negotiating achievable durations
- Proactively identifying and assessing programme risks to delivery
- Reviewing, integrating, and validating subcontractor, supplier, and third‑party programmes
- Providing detailed reports, lookaheads, and progress updates at project and programme level
- Attending site visits and meetings across the region, with opportunities for flexible/home working where possible
What you'll need
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' experience in project planning across complex engineering projects
- Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project
- Experience assessing contract programmes in line with NEC contract requirements
- Strong understanding of project management and delivery processes
- Excellent attention to detail, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- A proactive, results‑driven approach with the ability to influence and drive progress
- A full valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle (travel required)
Desirable Experience (Not Essential)
- Water supply and wastewater network projects
- Civil, mechanical, and electrical (M&E) design and construction
- Environmental, third‑party, or regulatory project considerations
- Managing workload across a varied portfolio of projects
- Working within nuclear‑regulated environments, including new‑build programmes and decommissioning projects
