Pressure Control Valve Technician

What you'll do

We are seeking a self-motivated PCV Technician to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance and servicing of our hydraulic control valves and associated systems within our water distribution network.

You will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of Pressure Reducing Valves and related equipment, contributing to the reliability and quality of our water supply.

Working as part of a busy team across the entire Wessex Water region, you will be trained to review flow and pressure data using a variety of techniques and equipment on site to assist with essential ongoing pressure management on our supply network.

You will:

• install, maintain and repair PCV's and associated equipment across the Wessex Water network
• conduct routine inspections and performance testing of PCV's to ensure optimal functionality
• diagnose and troubleshoot issues with PCV's implementing effective solutions to maintain system performance
• review flow and pressure alarms
• maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections and repairs, including the maintenance of pressure equipment
• collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless operation
• adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
• take part in an out-of-hours standby rota and respond to emergencies when required (standby allowance pay provided).

What you'll need

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A valid UK driving licence.
• IT skills including Microsoft products (preferable but not essential).
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills
• A strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices
