Do you have experience delivering engineering projects within the wastewater or Bioresources sectors? If so, this is an excellent opportunity to join our established and collaborative team as a Project Manager.
You will lead multi-disciplinary projects that provide environmental benefits and support the sustainable treatment and reuse of bioresources. Based in the Bristol area, you will contribute to a diverse, technically challenging, and high-value programme of works, operating within a safety-focused and performance-driven environment.
What you'll do
You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of projects, from early optioneering and design through construction, commissioning and handover, ensuring solutions are safe, efficient and sustainable by design.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- leading projects to successful completion, meeting health and safety, quality, programme and cost objectives
- managing multi-disciplinary teams (civil, mechanical, electrical, and process) across all phases of the project delivery lifecycle
- embedding process safety principles and inherently safer design into project development and decision-making from early design through to delivery
- ensuring robust programme planning, monitoring, and financial control, including forecasting, change management, and performance reporting
- building and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including operational teams, delivery partners, customers, and third-party organisations
- providing effective commercial and contractual management, with a working knowledge of NEC forms of contract
- leading contract negotiations and managing contractual change to secure best-value outcomes
- delivering a broad range of capital projects with individual project values of up to £50 million
- driving continuous improvement in project delivery, technical solutions, and health, safety and environmental performance.
What you'll need
You will be an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering multi-disciplinary engineering projects, ideally within the water, utilities, bioresources, or other process-led industries.
You'll also bring:
- a degree-level qualification in a relevant engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent experience / professional qualification
- a strong working knowledge of health and safety legislation, including CDM Regulations
- experience applying process safety principles and promoting inherently safer design in engineering and construction projects
- a practical understanding of programme management, cost control, and financial reporting
- working knowledge of NEC contracts, including contract administration and change control
- strong planning, organisational, and decision-making skills
- the ability to communicate clearly and confidently with both technical and non-technical audiences
- proven leadership skills, with the ability to motivate, coordinate, and manage teams to achieve successful project outcomes.
What you'll receive
- A combined pension contribution of up to 20%.
- Career progression and professional development opportunities.
- 25 days' holiday rising to 28 with length of service.
- The opportunity to sell up to five days of holiday every year.
- The opportunity to buy up to ten days of holiday each year (subject to conditions).
- A healthcare package that allows you to claim back healthcare costs.
- Life assurance of up to eight times your salary.
- The opportunity to lease a new electric car through salary sacrifice (subject to conditions).
- Cashback and discounts from more than 3,000 retailers.
- One paid volunteering day each year.
- Enhanced family leave and pay arrangements.
- Access to an interactive health and wellbeing platform.
