What you'll do
The procurement team plays an integral part in the success of the business by placing orders and contracts, making contract payments and onboarding new suppliers.
In addition, the team advises and assists the business in relation to the procurement of goods, services and consultants to deliver works and professional services.
You'll be mainly dealing with:
- supplier onboarding and administrative supplier management
- general administrative tasks to support the team
- high volume data input
- supporting the wider team to deliver the necessary procurement work within tight timescales.
What you'll need
We're looking for a committed, team player and proactive person with good attention to detail who is looking to develop their knowledge and experience further.
It's not vital that you understand the engineering sector or water industry, as we will provide you with training and are always on hand to help get you up to speed.
Excellent IT skills are a must, and you'll need to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word while being familiar with using other Microsoft Office applications.
Further training relating to procurement activities and the specific systems we use (such as Jaggaer, Unit4 Agresso, SharePoint and OneDrive) will be provided.
