We're looking for a team leader to join our Water Supply Repair & Maintenance (R&M) team, helping to keep water flowing for customers across our western region. 

Based from our depot in Yeovil, this is a site-based role where you'll travel daily to a variety of locations, taking on new challenges and making a real difference to the communities we serve. 

What you'll do

As an R&M Team Leader within our Network Utilities team, you'll lead and support the delivery of essential repair and maintenance work across our water supply network. 

No two days are the same. You'll tackle everything from emergency burst mains repairs to planned maintenance activities, ensuring work is completed safely, to our exceptionally high standards, and within anticipated costs. 

You'll work as part of a dedicated two-person team, leading by example and helping maintain critical water services for our customers.

The role offers a mix of hands-on work, problem-solving, and leadership, with opportunities to further develop your skills and progress your career. 

What you'll need

We're looking for someone with: 

  • a valid UK driving licence and the ability to tow a trailer over 750kg 
  • proven experience in water network repair and maintenance activities 
  • experience working on large-diameter water mains 
  • a current Streetworks qualification 
  • a Groundworks licence 
  • a strong commitment to health, safety and quality standards.

The following would be an advantage, but we can provide training where needed: 

  • 360 Excavator ticket (above and below 10 tonnes) 
  • Temporary works experience up to 3m depth 
  • Abrasive Wheels 
  • Asbestos Awareness 
  • Cable Avoidance 
  • EUSR Water Hygiene 
  • Face Fit 
  • Manual Handling 
  • Confined Spaces 
  • Forward Tipping Dumper (up to 10 tonnes)

  • EUSR Categories 3, 4 and 5

  • Fire Warden.

Please note that participation in planned out-of-hours work will be required when necessary.
