Do you enjoy working outdoors and being part of a team? If so, we have an opportunity within our Repair and Maintenance (R&M) team. 

This role will see you travel across Yeovil and surrounding areas. Our depot is located in Yeovil, but the works are site-based, so daily travelling will be required. 

What you'll do 

As one of our R&M Supply Team leaders, working in the Network Utilities team, you'll carry out a variety of repairs and maintenance activities to the water supply network, making sure it meets the highest quality and customer service standards.  

You'll be working within a great team, outdoors, dealing with different challenges every day and providing a vital service to our customers. This job involves operating as part of a two-person team.   

You will also be required to participate in out-of-hours standby rota as part of the role.  

What you'll need 

• A valid UK driving licence and the ability to tow a trailer over 750kg. 
• A current Streetworks licence. 
• Good knowledge and experience of R&M activities, including large-diameter mains. 
• 360 excavator licence (above and below 10 tonnes). 

Experience or accreditation in the following areas would be preferred but is not essential as training can be provided: 

• Abrasive Wheels 
• Asbestos Awareness 
• Cable Avoidance 
• EUSR (Water Hygiene) 
• Face Fit 
• Manual Handling 
• Excavator as a crane 
• SHEA Water 
• EUSR Categories 3, 4, and 5 
• Working at heights.
