Do you like working outdoors? Are you looking for a role that offers development opportunities? If so, we have a great opportunity for you to join our Water Recycling team as a Team Leader.

What you'll do 

Working within the West of our region, which covers the Yeovil area, you will provide a technical support function to all staff during and out of hours to ensure the operation and maintenance of water recycling centres.

As a Team Leader you will be responsible for:

  • activities delivered by Operators to ensure you meet the relevant key performance indicators and service level agreement targets for approximately 50 sites within the Western region
  • managing the working relationships between external and internal departments
  • resolving technical problems in the operation and maintenance of assets using advance fault finding and solution skills
  • making sound judgements and decisions to manage workloads and incidents 
  • contributing to the planning and implementation of necessary change to meet business goals. This includes the use of company systems and Microsoft programs
  • assisting in supervising 10 Operatives, supporting, training and mentoring staff at all levels
  • providing scheduling support to plan and organise work to ensure all business targets are achieved
  • taking part in a full standby rota.

What you'll need 

You will have excellent knowledge of the treatment process with a passion for delivering the highest performance and quality. Ideally, you will have or be working towards a level 3 in Sewage Treatment Works (all wastewater units).

You will also need:

  • to be able to make the correct decisions under pressure
  • a knowledge of IOSHH health and safety would be of benefit.
