Do you enjoy a fast-paced environment where you can use your administration skills to provide excellent customer service? If so, and you are an effective communicator, we have a great opportunity to join our Water Connections team as a Technical Coordinator.
If you're used to processing general administration, working on IT systems and Microsoft packages, such as Word, Outlook and Excel and enjoy working with people, then we want to hear from you!
This role offers a hybrid of office and home working (the option to work part of your week from home becomes available after completion of an initial training period), but you can also choose to work full-time in the office if that would be your preference.
This is a 12-month fixed-term role.
What you'll do
The Water Connections team within Developer Services are responsible for reviewing new development proposals and helping customers get connected to our supply network. We pride ourselves on delivering a professional, high-quality service to our customers.
As the Technical Coordinator, your role will ensure the delivery of an excellent quality of service through numerous communication channels (telephone, letter and email).
Your responsibilities will include administering and technically assessing water connection applications, maintaining an accurate record of all correspondence via our in-house systems, raising work requests and processing payments, refunds and water regulation submissions.
We have an incredible team spirit and work well together to drive great solutions for our customers and the environment.
What you'll need
We are looking for someone who can deliver great customer service, has a positive attitude, enthusiasm to learn new skills and the confidence to make decisions using logical and informed judgment.
We are looking for a confident communicator who enjoys finding solutions to customer challenges. You will be dealing with a wide range of queries, so the ability to absorb lots of information and relay that knowledge is important.
You'll need to be highly organised and able to prioritise your workload to ensure you deliver an excellent service to all stakeholders.
Ideally, you'll hold a grade C or above in English and maths, although this is not essential. You'll be IT literate and have a good understanding of Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.
What you'll receive
- A combined pension contribution of up to 20%.
- Career progression and professional development opportunities.
- 25 days' holiday rising to 28 with length of service.
