Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to make a real impact? As a key player, you'll be responsible for the tactical management of waste treatment network and wastewater sewage treatment works and associated assets.

What you'll do

The main part of your job will be:

  • To strongly lead the operational teams responsible for your specific deliverables, responsible for contractual budgets, processes, and resources to maximise your team's efficiency and cost-effectiveness for the client. 
  • Implement business plan objectives to move the business forward and to devise and implement strategies to maximise operational productivity while maintaining high-quality work.  
  • Handle commercial and compliance issues, ensuring the service we provide complies with environmental permits, has zero serious pollution incidents, within contractual budgetary controls and with adherence to set KPIs.
  • Build and maintain successful working relationships with Client representatives and other key contractors and be adept at resolving problems quickly and effectively.
  • Take the senior role in managing emergencies and local incidents to minimise environmental impact and cost and risk to the client.
  • Promoting and embodying our company values and culture.
  • Mentor and motivate team members, encouraging and supporting people development initiatives to help grow our internal talent, whilst promoting and embodying our company values and culture. 

What you'll need

To be successful, you'll need:

  • Broad operational and engineering experience in the water industry, ideally in a water treatment environment.
  • Good process knowledge in water and waste treatment.
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills, to lead, engage and motivate your team to perform at their best in a challenging environment.
  • Level 5 Leadership or Management Diploma or similar.
  • The role may include working at other sites or locations so you will need a full driving licence. 

You may be required to participate in and take part in a routine management standby function.
