Do you have a thorough knowledge and understanding of how Water Recycling Centres (WRC) operate? Are you looking to step into a leadership role where you can use your knowledge and lead a team to success? If so, we have a great opportunity for you as a WRC Area Manager!

You could be based in any of the following areas depending on where you live... Bath, Bristol, Chippenham, Trowbridge, Frome and Tetbury.

What you'll do

Joining a busy department, you will report to the Divisional Water Recycling Manager (North) where you will deliver an excellent service. You will manage a number of WRCs and the operational staff who work within them, ensuring that all key performance indicators and effluent standards are not only met, but exceeded.

You will help drive the business forward as you implement cost-saving changes, operate safely within our budgets and help us achieve our targets. You will provide day-to-day support and guidance to your team. Therefore, you will be a proactive and confident leader as well as having effective communication skills. Your responsibilities will be varied and challenging.

You will work closely with your team in and out of hours and will monitor health and safety, staff performance, outstanding jobs and compliance on a regular basis. You will also stand in for the manager when necessary.

What you'll need

To succeed you will be a conscientious, focused worker. Your communication skills will enable you to resolve complex issues, often under pressure, while your attention to detail will assist with daily operations.

In addition, we are looking for:

  • an excellent understanding of our policies and procedures
  • a good understanding of Electrical Mechanical and instrumentation (EM&I)
  • an IOSH managing safely and confined working space certificate would be an advantage, however training can be provided
  • a demonstrable track record in the practical application of process skills.

A valid manual driving licence is vital as you'll be working across a number of sites and offices. A vehicle will be provided.
