Working Supervisor (Potable)

Are you an experienced construction professional who enjoys working outdoors and supervising a team? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our Civils Construction team as a Working Construction Supervisor at Hinkley Point C.

This role is subject to Union Agreement rates, terms & conditions.

What you'll do

The main part of your job will include:

• supervising operatives and carrying out construction site activities, including excavation, pipe-laying, plant operation, groundworks, and concreting
• ensuring all works are completed and compliant with company policies and procedures, targets are met, and health, safety and quality is always maintained.
• managing team awareness to improve safety and reduce accidents/incidents protecting our workforce from injury
• managing interfaces with other departments, building relationships, promoting a consistent approach, technical advice, and swift resolution of any identified problems
• working within a team that works outdoors in all weathers and deals with different challenges every day, providing a vital service to our client
• embodying our company and client values, and promoting these values through your own and your teams' behaviours.

What you'll need

• We're looking for people with a positive, can-do attitude, who will motivate and encourage our Operatives to be the best they can be.
• Safety is key for us and we're looking for people who can be an ambassador for all things health, safety and wellbeing related.
• Our ideal candidate will have relevant construction site supervisory experience.
• Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) qualification
• A variety of plant tickets
• A hygiene card
• Butt fusion & electro fusion qualification
• WIAPS qualified
