We're looking for a detail-oriented Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic finance department. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow professionally in a supportive environment with excellent career development prospects.
What you'll do
This is a varied and interesting role where you will work alongside the Management Accountant, providing high-quality information and assistance to all clients within YTL Construction. This includes Infrastructure, Procurement and Plant & Fleet Solutions.
You'll enable them to manage their business in an efficient manner, with a consistent approach across YTL UK Group policies and procedures.
You'll also provide support on monitoring and reporting the financial performance of YTL Construction, including supporting the creation and consolidation of annual financial budgets and quarterly forecasts, both for operational costs and creation of annual staff rates.
Other responsibilities include:
- supporting the preparation of monthly accounts and end-of-month reporting
- maintaining timesheet processes, including weekly posting of timesheets, running missing timesheet reports and assisting with queries
- assisting with intercompany posting, invoicing and reconciliation
- assisting with the provision of financial data and reporting for monthly meetings with business area managers to review performance against budget
- assisting in the preparation of annual budgets
- responding to and acting on queries from business managers
- providing support to the team with financial reporting
- assisting with external auditor requests in a timely and professional manner
- monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.
What you'll need
- Part-qualified CIMA or ACCA.
- Experience in accounts and finance.
- Confident and assertive manner.
- Positive and can do approach.
- Fast and accurate keyboard skills.
- Intermediate understanding and knowledge of Microsoft Windows packages, particularly Excel.
- Interpersonal skills, including telephone and written communication skills.
