Graduate Process Commissioning Engineer

You will carry out all aspects of water and wastewater commissioning within our Engineering and Construction department. 

What you'll do 

As a graduate, you will initially be mentored by a more experienced member of the team as you develop the skills needed to become a Commissioning Engineer.

Once you have proved an initial level of competence, you will be allocated your own schemes to complete under the guidance of a mentor.  

The role of the Commissioning team includes: 

• ensuring projects are designed in a manner that can be commissioned
• producing a clear and concise commissioning plan
• carrying out a HAZCOM and ensuring that actions are implemented
• assisting construction teams to ensure their work can be carried out without adverse impact on the treatment processes
• working with the Mechanical and Engineering, and Automation teams to bring the plant online in a manner that ensures compliance at all times
• approving and documenting all aspects of commissioning, including compliance. 

What you'll need 

You will:

• have, or be working towards, a relevant degree that preferably includes elements of clean or wastewater treatment
• have a keen interest in working within the UK Water Industry, and have effective communication skills
• be happy to work as part of a Development Programme that has defined milestones for progression
• have a curious mindset that allows you to question perceived wisdom and think outside of the box while understanding the constraints of business and a commercial environment
• be a good team player, happy to contribute to the growth of the team and able to work independently
• be an organised individual who can use independent judgement to plan, prioritise and organise their workload.
