IT Infrastructure Specialist

In this role, you will maintain and improve services, stay up to date with Microsoft updates, and collaborate with IT security to implement security measures.

What you'll do

In this exciting and varied role, your day-to-day duties will be:

• maintaining and supporting 365 tenants, exchange online, messaging services and Microsoft Entra
• designing, implementing and managing the organisation of Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 environments
• monitoring and managing the performance, availability and security of Exchange and Office 365 environments
• troubleshooting and resolving complex issues related to Exchange and Office 365 systems
• installing, configuring, and maintaining Exchange server software and related components
• monitoring and resolving issues related to Exchange mailboxes, message tracking and transport logs
• deploying and configuring Exchange Online Protection and Proofpoint for inbound and outbound email protection
• managing and monitoring email infrastructure for high availability and optimal performance
• working closely with other IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to messaging services
• managing active directory objects related to Exchange, such as user accounts and distribution groups
• performing system administration, security and maintenance duties as required.

What you'll need

We are looking for:

• at least five years of experience in Exchange server administration and related technologies
• strong knowledge of Exchange Server 2016/2019, Exchange Online and related technologies
• experience with PowerShell scripting for Exchange administration automation
• excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• effective communication skills for collaborating with other IT teams and end-users
• the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
• highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities
• understanding of networking technologies
• understanding of Azure infrastructure.

It would also be beneficial to have an MCSE/MCITP/MCP. qualification in Exchange Online, 365 administration or active directory.
