Are you a motivated, organised individual, who would enjoy being responsible for the processing and timely administration of numerous company payrolls?

Are you looking for a new challenge? Would you like to join our busy in-house payroll team in Bath? 

If so, we have a great opportunity to join our team on a part-time basis, hours can be flexible between 24 and 30 hours per week.

What you'll do

In this role, you will:

• perform end-to-end calculations for a number of inter-company payrolls, on weekly and monthly cycles
• process pay-related data, ensuring the correct terms and conditions, and statutory deductions are applied 
• reconcile various monthly and periodic data files, manage pay runs including BACS and third party payment files to meet deadlines 
• respond to enquiries, provide guidance on pay-related matters, communicate clear responses in relation to enquiries from internal and external sources, and ensure confidentiality at all times
• maintain knowledge of related legislation and the various company terms and conditions.

What you'll need

Ideally, you have a professional payroll qualification however, this is not essential.

More importantly, we are looking for a positive attitude and enthusiasm to learn new processes and an eye for detail.  

To succeed in this role, ideally, you'll have:

• previous payroll experience (minimum one year) 
• knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
• an understanding of legislation relating to Income tax, National Insurance, statutory sick, paternity and maternity pay, court orders, pension contributions and benefits in kind
• experience using software, ideally Midland iTrent and Microsoft applications
• good time management, a flexible approach, and the ability to plan, organise and prioritise your own workload as required
• high levels of accuracy and honesty, respecting the sensitivity of confidential information.
