At YTL Construction UK, we are committed to delivering high-quality services while driving sustainable change. Our Project Management Office (PMO) is central to ensuring efficient project delivery, and we're now seeking a data-driven PMO Analyst to join our team.
This role is critical to enhancing our reporting capabilities, supporting monthly reporting cycles, and delivering actionable insights that drive decision-making across a portfolio of major capital projects.
What You'll Do
As a PMO Analyst focused on reporting and data insights, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping how project performance is tracked, analysed, and communicated. Working closely with the PMO Lead, your primary focus will be on designing, maintaining, and improving monthly performance reporting and exception reporting processes, with a strong emphasis on Power BI development.
You'll be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate and insightful reporting across the AMP8 capital programme, helping key stakeholders monitor progress, identify risks, and make informed decisions.
Key responsibilities include:
- developing and maintaining interactive Power BI dashboards to visualise project performance and identify trends, risks, and exceptions
- leading the monthly reporting cycle, including collation, validation and analysis of key data from multiple sources to support regular governance and performance reviews
- producing exception reports to highlight areas of concern and drive corrective action
- partnering with project and programme managers to interpret and translate reporting requirements into meaningful visual insights
- acting as the key reporting liaison between PMO and interfacing disciplines such as commercial, engineering, procurement, finance and IT
- maintaining and enhancing PMO reporting frameworks to ensure consistency, accuracy and compliance across projects
- supporting the development of datasets from core business systems to enable reliable and repeatable reporting processes
- contributing to the continuous improvement of project reporting standards and PMO processes.
What You'll Need
We're looking for a proactive and analytical individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality reporting that drives performance and accountability.
You'll need to demonstrate:
- proven experience in a PMO, project controls, or project reporting role – ideally within the utilities or infrastructure sectors
- strong technical skills in Power BI, with experience in building and managing dashboards and datasets
- a deep understanding of reporting cycles, especially monthly governance and performance reviews
- familiarity with exception reporting techniques, root cause analysis, and escalation protocols
- experience working with complex project data from multiple systems (e.g. finance, planning, risk)
- a solid grasp of project governance, controls, and risk management processes
- excellent stakeholder management and communication skills – able to translate complex data into clear messages
- a continuous improvement mindset and a hands-on approach to innovation and efficiency
- a project management certification (e.g., PRINCE2 or equivalent) is desirable.
This is an exciting opportunity to directly shape the reporting function of a forward-thinking PMO, using data and technology to deliver value across high-impact projects.
What you'll receive
- A combined pension contribution of up to 20%.
- Career progression and professional development opportunities.
- 25 days' holiday rising to 28 with length of service.
- The opportunity to sell up to five days of holiday every year.
- The opportunity to buy up to ten days of holiday each year (subject to conditions).
- A healthcare package that allows you to claim back healthcare costs.
- Life assurance of up to eight times your salary.
- The opportunity to lease a new electric car through salary sacrifice (subject to conditions).
- Cashback and discounts from more than 3,000 retailers.
- One paid volunteering day each year.
- Enhanced family leave and pay arrangements.
- Access to an interactive health and wellbeing platform.
- Support from trained mental health first aiders.
- A £1,000 referral fee if you recommend someone who is successfully recruited by us.
