Our Project Management Office (PMO) plays a pivotal role in ensuring efficient and effective project delivery across the business. 

We are now looking for a skilled PMO Analyst to join our team and support the governance, strategy, and execution of our major projects.

What you'll do

As a PMO Analyst, you will be a critical member of the PMO function, supporting the delivery of a significant portfolio of major capital projects. 

You'll directly support the PMO Lead to drive effective governance, reporting, planning and analysis across the AMP8 capital programme. 

You'll support project governance, performance reporting, and continuous improvement, whilst maintaining and enhancing PMO frameworks, ensuring compliance across disciplines, whilst delivering clear, data-driven insights through effective reporting and analysis.

You'll also:

  • act as a point of contact for interfacing disciplines, including commercial, engineering, procurement, finance and IT, on any PMO-related queries
  • support project and programme managers with guidance on project control processes, risk management and performance tracking
  • hold a continuous improvement mindset and, where appropriate to support the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives across project processes and standards
  • act as a key point of contact for stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and reporting
  • ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards.

What you'll need

You'll need to have had prior experience supporting project and programme management in a structured PMO environment, ideally within the utilities or infrastructure sectors.

You'll also have:

  • experience in a PMO/Project Management role in the utilities or infrastructure sector
  • an understanding of project management methodologies and tools (eg, PRINCE2, Agile, SharePoint and PowerBI)
  • an understanding of governance, project controls, reporting, and risk management
  • proven stakeholder management and communication skills
  • a proactive mindset, with a hands-on approach to drive process improvements and innovation
  • a project management qualification (PRINCE 2 or equivalent).
