Do you have excellent data skills and attention to detail? Are you looking for a role where you can use your strong collaboration and organisational abilities to support projects that encourage our customers to use water wisely? If so, we have a great opportunity for you as a Project Coordinator.

What you'll do

As the Project Coordinator, you will help design, deliver and monitor a programme of activities to help reduce the amount of water we need to take from the environment and offer great customer service.  

You'll look after the monthly monitoring and reporting of our activities and have the opportunity to own some of our engagement projects. 

Specific tasks you'll be responsible for include: 

  • coordinating the timing and scale of promotional activities through the year for our free water-saving products and behavioural messaging with the comms team
  • working on digital and website tools and content
  • supporting with planning and delivering new and innovative projects to reduce household water use and water-saving projects that may arise during droughts
  • relationship management with third-party organisations that support our work
  • supporting our varied customer engagement programme and our smart metering programme
  • monthly and annual review of water efficiency projects, which involves both Excel-based analysis and writing commentaries to explain the work we achieve
  • the day-to-day monitoring of budgets and spending to ensure we meet targets within budget 
  • occasional attendance at public events to showcase the help we can offer customers to save water.

What you'll need

To be successful, you will have good data analysis and management skills and a strong aptitude for using Microsoft Excel. 

You will also be a confident and effective communicator as you will be coordinating projects which require input from numerous teams, so clear writing skills and a collaborative working approach are essential.

In addition, the ideal candidate will have:

  • an understanding of the water industry and a passion for great customer engagement and/or protecting the environment
  • a degree in an environmental, science or another related subject
  • good communication and presentation skills, including written, email, reports, presentations and spoken word 
  • a driving licence and a willingness to travel to occasional events or meetings around the Wessex Water region.
