Sewer Renovation Operative

Are you a customer-focused person and an effective communicator? Are you well organised and enjoy working as part of a team? If so, we have an exciting opportunity to join Wessex Water as a Sewer Renovation Operator for the manhole sealing project.

To get you up to speed, on-the-job training, regular coaching, and mentoring will be provided.

What you'll do

The role of Sewer Renovation Operator involves a balance of working self-sufficiently and as part of a team. Our Sewer Renovation team not only repairs and maintains our wastewater network, but they also investigate groundwater infiltration and carry out remedial work to protect the environment and the quality of the water course.

This position is highly varied and diverse, so there will never be a dull moment. Each day, you'll work across different locations to help keep our infrastructure up and running. 

What you'll need

Ideally, you'll:

• have good communication skills
• be confident engaging with both customers and colleagues throughout the business, over the phone and face to face
• have an understanding of sewer networks, but don't worry if not, as we'll train you
• have a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.

This is a regional role working across our region. You may occasionally be required to work outside normal working hours, as well as an occasional night away.
