A new and exciting position has become available to join our Sewerage team due to an increase in the number of Environment Agency site audits on our sewerage assets.
You will be coordinating and holding meetings on site with the EA. This will involve answering questions and organising and completing any actions from the visit on their CAR forms.
Reporting to the Sewerage Pumping Station (SPS) Manager, you will provide support to the wider Sewerage team on pollutions and influence annual target compliance.
You will be required to attend pollution MIR meetings, ensuring information captured from the field is correct and what is needed for the new 10-day target from the EA.
You will also facilitate and manage burst rising main pollution and data spill responses, and assist with daily scheduling and alarm handling where required.
What you'll do
You will:
- facilitate the Environment Agency audits on sewerage pumping stations and sewerage network overflows
- complete and manage audit CAR actions
- facilitate the management of rising mains, particularly for burst occurrences
- coordinate responses to pollution reporting for dry weather spill events from the data
- operate the remote restart of pumps to prevent spills/pollutions
- specialist technical support within the Sewerage/SPS team
- deliver a first-class safety approach to work
- understand the assets and our permits for specific sites
- analyse data to review site performance.
What you'll need
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English, maths and a technical subject.
- A minimum of five years' experience in the Sewerage workstream.
- Effective planning and prioritisation skills .
- Covering out-of-hours callouts where required.
- Confident, credible and engaging communication skills.
- Proactive, driven and able to work on own initiative.
- Innovation with the passion for driving change.
- Customer focused.
- A positive attitude that strives to grow individually and as a team member.
- A valid driving licence.
