As the Emergency Planning Specialist, you will plan, coordinate, and deliver various activities and measures to assure our operational delivery and underpin our contingency planning and preparedness.
What you'll do
In this role, you will:
- maintain our regulatory compliance, representing us at government and industry resilience forums, developing and testing our internal capability/preparedness and supporting actual incident response activity
- promote effective business continuity planning and emergency planning
- advise departments and group companies on business resilience requirements and measures
- monitor performance of business continuity, business resilience and emergency planning against policy, standards and arrangements, ensuring compliance with relevant UK standards
- provide reassurance within YTL UK group and overt visibility of compliance through monitoring, reporting, auditing etc.
- develop business resilience and preparedness through training and awareness
- test business resilience through exercises and deliver continuous improvement
- support and inform risk management .
What you'll need
The knowledge skills and experience that are needed in this role are:
- five years' experience delivering business resilience or closely related services
- demonstrable knowledge of UK business resilience legislation and arrangements
- broad understanding of approaches to business resilience planning and exercise development and delivery
- ideally a BTEC or other HMG-recognised business resilience qualifications, including emergency planning college training courses and / or Diploma in Business Continuity
- previous experience or employment in government (especially emergency services or local government) delivering or supporting business resilience planning an advantage.
