Within this role, you will be travelling across the Bristol, Bath and Wiltshire area. You will be provided with a company vehicle along with all the tools and PPE you will need. 

What you'll do

We are looking for a skilled, self-motivated individual to join our Sewage Pumping Station team, assisting in the maintenance of our assets.  

As a Grounds Maintenance Operator you will work both alone and as part of a team, carrying out ground and building maintenance activities, including: 

• grass cutting
• hedge cutting
• weed spraying  
• tree pruning
• general building and welfare facilities maintenance
• pathways and track repairs
• fencing
• emergency site security works
• health and safety works. 

What you'll need

To be successful, you will have a grounds maintenance background as well as skills in construction or building maintenance. You will have knowledge and experience in gardening maintenance, small horticultural machinery operation, carpentry skills and basic plumbing. 

You will have health, safety and welfare awareness and will be a self-motivated, effective communicator with personal drive. In addition to this, you should have basic PC skills in order to work with our in-house systems as well as holding a valid driving licence. 

It would be desirable, but not essential if you hold relevant plant tickets to operate small plant as well as holding a PA1 and PA6 qualification for weed spraying. If you don't hold this, don't worry, we provide full training within this role.
