We're looking for a reliable and safety-conscious HGV Class 2 Driver to support our food waste collection operations across a range of commercial and residential sites. If you take pride in maintaining high standards and enjoy working independently, this could be the perfect role for you.
What you'll do
Your main priority will be to collect food waste from multiple commercial and residential locations. As well as this, you have the following responsibilities:
- carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain accurate records
- safely load and unload food waste containers
- complete driver logs, tachograph records, and defect reports
- adhere to all road traffic, health & safety, and environmental regulations
- keep the vehicle clean and report any maintenance issues promptly.
What you'll need
A valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) licence is essential for this role however, you will also need to meet the following requirements:
- possess a driver CPC and a digital tachograph card
- have a proven safe driving record and a clean licence
- be capable of manual handling tasks
- be punctual, dependable, and have good communication skills.
Possessing a Class 1 licence is desirable but not essential.
