Are you ready to take the lead in one of the most picturesque parts of the country? We're offering an exciting opportunity to step into a key leadership role in South Dorset, where you'll guide and inspire on-the-ground teams while managing the day-to-day operations of the water network. This is your chance to take full ownership of your area, drive performance, and make a real difference to customers and drive our key targets.

What you'll do

As a Network Supervisor at Wessex Water, you'll lead and support a team of Distribution and Customer Inspectors to ensure the delivery of a reliable, high-quality water supply service across the Poole, Blandford and Purbeck area.

You'll be responsible for maintaining and improving network performance, managing operational budgets, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. A key part of your role will be driving customer satisfaction by minimising supply interruptions and responding effectively to operational challenges, including extreme weather events and helping to provide solutions to network and customer issues.

You'll also play a vital role in developing your team through mentoring, training, and succession planning, while fostering a strong culture of health, safety, and wellbeing.

What you'll need

A strong background in water network operations is essential, along with leadership experience and a good understanding of water systems, leakage control, and water regulations.

The role involves balancing operational efficiency with customer expectations and regulatory demands, often under financial and environmental constraints. Strong communication and collaboration skills are vital, as you'll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders.

In addition, you will have:

  • data analysis and IT skills
  • a full clean driving licence
  • have strong communication and presentation skills
  • IOSH qualification
  • experience in water supply networks and management would be preferred.

You will be required to work 45 hours per week plus standby cover if needed.

What you'll receive

  • A combined pension contribution of up to 20%.
  • Career progression and professional development opportunities.
  • 25 days' holiday rising to 28 with length of service.
  • The opportunity to buy up to 10 days' holiday and sell up to five every year.
  • A healthcare package that allows you to claim back healthcare costs.
  • Life assurance of up to eight times your salary.
  • A new electric car in exchange for part of your gross salary.
  • Cashback and discounts from more than 3,000 retailers.
  • One paid volunteering day each year.
  • Enhanced family leave and pay arrangements.
  • An interactive health and wellbeing platform.
  • Support from mental health first aiders.
  • A £1,000 referral fee if you recommend someone to work for us.
