We have an exciting opportunity to join our Digital Engineering team as a Revit Technician! You'll report to the Lead Digital Engineer and will work with the wider business, providing a 3D modelling resource and acting as a point of contact within the team for 3D Modelling, templates, families and Dynamo scripts.  

What you'll do 

As an experienced Revit Technician, you will provide technical proficiency and add knowledge and support to a growing team of Digital Engineering enthusiasts.

You will have a desire to always present your best work and an ability to thrive while working collaboratively and independently.  

You'll also:

  • deliver 3D digital models and drawings on water and wastewater treatment sites to current standards
  • create, audit and review designs and third-party information using Revit, AutoCAD and Plant 3D
  • work with Point Clouds and other survey information
  • liaise with designers, consultants and suppliers to enable project coordination
  • support the Lead Digital Engineer, providing input for key design and deliverables
  • update and maintain Revit templates and shared parameters
  • create Dynamo scripts to enhance Revit capability within the team
  • undertake site visits as required to verify information 
  • mentor less experienced colleagues in modelling and drawing software use 
  • assist the Digital Delivery team in collecting Lidar scan data
  • input into the model and drawing procedures
  • perform 3D Model Quantity Extraction/Verification. 

What you'll need 

  • A HNC/HND in a relevant engineering field (mechanical, electrical, civil). 
  • Be familiar with BIM processes and working procedures. 
  • A high proficiency and advanced knowledge using Revit, AutoCAD and Plant 3D to deliver projects. 
  • Experience working in a Common Data Environment (CDE). 
  • Experience using Dynamo to enhance Revit workflows. 
  • Strong communication skills to work with our in-house design teams. 
  • Confidence in delivering training to your colleagues. 
  • Knowledge of industry standards, including CDM regulations (2015), design risks and the ability to translate to CAD. 
  • Knowledge of working practices in the water sector would be advantageous.
