Security Gate and Estates Assistant

Brabazon is a major 400-acre regeneration development project being delivered by YTL Developments on the former Filton Airfield.

This role is responsible for access control and operational tasks on the YTL Estate, which includes the Airfield.

What you'll do

This position is a hands-on and dynamic role to coordinate access to the development site and provide logistics and practical support to the Estates team who are responsible for managing the airfield. 

The tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• coordinating access to the airfield with various project teams and third parties
• providing security and managing deliveries 
• communicating site rules and helping uphold them
• tracking usage and reporting via software systems
• planning future access routes
• providing practical support to the Estates team, including general maintenance on the estate
• being one of a number of keyholders for the Estates team, which in emergencies may require a response outside normal working hours.

What you'll need

• Experience dealing with contractors, traffic management/deliveries and construction-related issues.
• An accredited vehicle banksman course.
• An NVQ/City & Guilds qualification relating to subjects such as construction, estate management or landscaping is preferred.
• A range of health and safety experience is preferred, such as First Aid, Manual Handling and Traffic Management.
• Knowledge and practical experience in handling the diverse range of issues associated with property and land maintenance.
• Good communication, administration and IT skills, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook).
• A CSCS card is preferred.
• The ability to maintain and safely operate equipment (in accordance with manufacturers' instructions) to carry out remedial works on the estate.
• Full clean driving license.
