Are you interested in joining a department of dedicated individuals who safeguard drinking water? Do you have experience dealing with customers? Do you enjoy speaking with customers? If so, we have a great opportunity within our compliance team as a Water Regulations Administrator.
The role is 16 hours per week, working Monday to Wednesday.
What you'll do
Our dedicated team travel across the whole Wessex Water region, carrying out plumbing inspections at properties and advising commercial and household customers how they can protect their drinking water.
We are a small team of six working within the Compliance department and work very closely with water quality, public health, supply scientists and distribution teams.
We have a well-rounded understanding of what can influence drinking water quality to aid investigations and figure out how to resolve a potential issue.
This work, carried out by the Water Fittings Regulations team, protects public health, and you will play a vital role in supporting this.
You will:
- answer calls and emails from customers
- arrange appointments and manage team calendars
- respond to inspection requests
- create reports to send to customers
- liaise with the team and other departments to arrange visits
- receive and check test certificates
- data input and record keeping.
This role is mainly office-based, with hybrid working as an option once settled after the initial training period. The main office base is in Bath, however, an office in Trowbridge is available as an alternative work location.
There will be opportunities to accompany inspectors and other departments in the field to experience the day-to-day work involved in supplying drinking water across the region and protecting it.
What you'll need
We are looking for you to have:
- competency with Microsoft software packages (Word, Excel and Outlook)
- confidence and professionalism when communicating with customers
- good personal organisational skills
- good literacy skills.
