About the skilled repair and maintenance (R&M) supply team

Train to become part of our skilled Repair and Maintenance (R&M) supply teams responding to call outs and completing planned maintenance of our clean water and supply networks.

Our repair and maintenance teams play a crucial role in our day-to-day operations as they ensure our customers have minimal disruption to their water supply.

The main purpose of the role is to ensure our customers are not inconvenienced for any longer than possible.

You will be responding to problems and working in different locations each day.

If you enjoy manual work alongside operating small construction machinery, this physically demanding, outdoor role will suit you.

  • Repairing broken and leaking clean water pipes.
  • Carrying out mechanical coupling or heat fusing to join pipes together.
  • Using reinstatement techniques including tarmac, concrete and block paving.
  • Working safely to modern highway standards.

Where will you work?

As every day is different your location will also be different, but you will be within 90 minutes of home and will work in one of our local teams.

What do we look for?

  • Willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work in a small team.
  • Enjoy working outdoors.
  • An interest in engineering or construction.
  • Enjoy fixing things.
  • Ability to communicate with customers diplomatically and politely.
